The type of jobs that “immigrants” typically fill are degree positions as most of the “immigrants” that come to the USA are degree professionals, i.e. Doctors, nurses, engineers, and computers. I do not understand why Biden does not drop the visa and passport requirements at the airports and seaports so these people can get into the USA more easily.
I lived and worked overseas for over 20 years in 9 developing nations and one developed nation. Plus I visited 30 other countries. I have several work colleagues who are professionals with degrees and are very qualified. Again why is Biden not letting these people fly into the USA?
The reason for “illegal border crosses” which I think is your question. My nephew who worked for a while for a company in Phoenix Arizona had several “illegals” working in that factory, which was somewhat of a high-tech company. So it is not so much they are looking for gardeners, crop pickers, jobs like that. They are looking for cheap workers. It was a clean job so there should be no reason why Americans could not do that job, except the American kids who want office, and computer jobs they do not want to work in a factory.
My ex-wife in Delaware, son is a building contractor and he hires mostly people from Latin America as they want to work, he said he could not find American Carpenters.
I was a subcontract manager on a construction project in Toledo Ohio, one of my subcontractors from New Jersey this was in the late 90’s was telling me they would go to high schools to try to recruit kids to come into the building trades, get into an apprenticeship and learn a trade. They were told by the kids they wanted to work in an office with computers they did not want to work at a job where they would get dirty.
So several jobs are good paying that Americans do not want to do, Americans are spoiled and entitled. Several people I met on jobs overseas also believe Americans are spoiled people.
